The Sometimes are fresh off of releasing one of the top Alternative albums of the year ahead of sensations like Billie Eilish. Their hit song "Acapulco" saw viral success breaking into the Pop 100 charts and internationally culminating in a remix by famed European DJ Tribbs. They boast over 15 million streams and views across all platforms and "have rapidly become ones to watch across the alternative pop scene [EARMILK].
The Sometimes Island makes synth-forward beach music and has been called “the future of synthpop” by Buzznet. The band is led by frontman Matt Blankenship Jr, with Chilean-born guitarist Felipe Valdivia and anchored by drummer Nick Lopiano.
